The ice age of 10,000 years ago is represented by realistic mammoths and mammoth skeletons. Zoologically, the house is full of animal curiosities, the main feature of which is the polar bear breeding centre, where, uniquely, the largest polar bear space is refrigerated and the world's largest land predator can be seen underwater in the 4-metre deep pool.
A special feature is a showroom for king penguins, never seen before in Hungary, at around 0°C. Two other penguin species, the rockhopper penguin and the warm-sky Humoldt penguin, are also on display.
The outdoor enclosures takes us to Alaska and Siberia, where the bald eagle and the Steller's eagle, the world's largest eagle, watch from their huge perches.
A glass dome leads into the Arctic wolf's enclosure, where you can get a glimpse of the pack's daily life, but also the life of the Canadian aborigines in the Indian camp, as the Climate Chamber models the world of the Inuit.
You can see the igloos , the tools of their hunting lifestyle, all the while feeling the icy wind on your face.
A real highlight of the animal show is the River Runner, where the current of the river takes you through the animals in trunk-like boats, and the experience is enhanced by the life-like sword-winged dolphin figures emerging from the water or the 10-metre rapids in the middle of the ride, where you can slide down.
In the Ice World Animal Show, you can also dive into the depths of the icy seas in a VR submarine, but the huge aquariums also show you the world of fish in the icy seas in real life.
